Window replacement pricing

What replacement windows cost, explained before you call.

Three starting budget categories for residential replacement windows in Metro Atlanta and surrounding North Georgia communities. Every range is per window installed—product and professional installation together—so you can plan with real numbers.

The three packages

Choose a starting point—not a rigid bundle.

Each package describes typical specifications at that budget level. No tier is the “right” one for everyone, and you can mix packages throughout the same house—for example, Standard windows in secondary bedrooms and Premium Plus in a front living room.

Inclusions & contingencies

What’s included—and what can change your price.

Our published ranges are installed prices, not material-only prices. They assume a typical replacement. When a home needs more, we explain why and price it separately—never with a hidden fee.

Published prices generally assume

  • Conventional residential replacement windows
  • Typical window sizes
  • Standard installation accessibility
  • Sound existing structural framing
  • Standard removal and replacement conditions
  • Ordinary installation labor and materials
  • Typical fastening, insulation, and sealing
  • Reasonable job quantities and mobilization
  • No major hidden damage or structural alterations

Final inclusions are confirmed in your written estimate and agreement.

Hidden damage

Removing an old window sometimes exposes problems that can’t be seen beforehand:

  • Rotted wood or water-damaged sills
  • Damaged framing or deteriorated jambs
  • Insect-related or structural deterioration
  • A previous improper installation
  • Hidden moisture or waterproofing issues

These conditions are not assumed in standard pricing. Necessary repairs are evaluated and quoted separately.

Installation complexity

Additional labor or equipment may be needed for:

  • Full-frame replacement
  • Difficult existing window removal, including steel, aluminum, or complex wood frames
  • Stucco or specialty exterior finishes, and stone or brick modifications
  • Difficult second-story access, scaffolding, or specialty equipment
  • Unusual framing conditions

Not every metal-frame or wood-frame replacement costs the same—we price the actual conditions at your home.

Exterior finishing

Depending on your project, exterior work may include:

  • Custom aluminum capping or PVC exterior trim
  • Brickmold replacement
  • Siding repair or exterior trim reconstruction
  • Additional flashing or waterproofing
  • Specialized sealant or finishing work

These services are included when expressly specified in your estimate; they are not automatically part of every package.

Specialty windows

Custom pricing applies to half-round and arched windows, specialty shapes, oversized picture windows, mulled combinations, bay or bow windows, custom-sized units, nonstandard operating configurations, and other architectural installations. These may exceed the general pricing ranges.

Glass & material upgrades

Pricing changes with tempered or safety glazing, triple-pane glazing, specialty energy-performance glass, laminated or acoustic glazing, decorative grille systems, simulated divided-lite grids, custom interior or exterior finishes, specialty hardware, and manufacturer-specific upgrades.

Where building code requires safety glazing, it is included and reflected in your quote.

Project quantity & mobilization

Larger projects often allow installation efficiencies, so multiple-window projects may qualify for more economical per-window pricing. Very small projects may involve a minimum service or mobilization charge, and specialty installations may require additional labor or equipment. Any such charge is shown in your estimate.

Manufacturing & scheduling

Timing and cost can be affected by custom manufacturing, supplier availability, specialty colors, nonstandard dimensions, delivery requirements, manufacturer changes, material availability, and permits or inspections where required. We share expected lead times once your order is confirmed with the manufacturer.

Change orders & your approval: if substantial additional work is identified after your estimate, we explain what we found, document the change in scope and price, and ask for your written approval before proceeding wherever feasible. Contracted pricing does not change without your knowledge.

Pricing questions

Helpful answers before you request an estimate.

Do all the windows in my house need to be the same package?

No. Many homeowners choose different specifications for different rooms or elevations—for example, a dark exterior color on the street-facing side or upgraded glass in a bedroom that gets afternoon sun.

Is the price per window installed or just the product?

Installed. The ranges include the window and standard professional installation under typical conditions. They are not material-only prices.

How accurate is a photo quote?

A photo quote gives you a realistic preliminary range after our team reviews your photos and details. Final pricing is confirmed after an in-home visit verifies measurements and installation conditions.

Which brands do you install?

We recommend products from suppliers we work with based on your home, the window sizes, and your budget, and we’ll show you the manufacturer and product line for every window in your estimate.

Do you also replace entry and patio doors?

Yes. Entry door and patio door pricing depends on the door, glass, hardware, and opening, so doors are quoted individually. See our door replacement services.
